UPDATE

We're happy you're interested in adopting Captain Crookshanks and would like to thank you for your interest

Captain Crookshanks had been recently rehomed on 17th February 2021. Unfortunately, the new adopter has recently undergone a change in personal circumstances, and will no longer be able to care for Captain Crookshanks.

As a result, Captain Crookshanks is up for adoption once more.

We beseech all potential adopters to read Captain Crookshanks's bio below and reach out to us if you're interested in giving Captain Crookshanks a new forever home.

Thank you!

- Eugene and Mandy

Hello!

My name is

Captain Crookshanks.

This is

My Story.

All my life, I've been wandering around this human multi-story dwelling in Bedok, earning my keep by weaving in-between the legs of the humans living in the area. Pats and rubs are my all-time favorite.

I have been working on my daily National Steps Challenge, and found climbing stairs quite an effective way to clock my exercise. On 26 August 2020, I climbed up some stairs, and decided to take a nap in one of the boxes outside this house, and fell asleep.

Next thing I knew, a female human emerged from inside the house - it looked like she was picking up some food from this other human wearing a kangaroo T-shirt. I love food, so I yelled (read: meowed gently) at her and she came out with some food for me, which I promptly consumed.

Eventually, the female's mate came home, and I got into this carrier where they took me to see the nice doctor. I think the humans were worried that I was hurt, or that my over-friendliness could have gotten me in trouble if I had ended up with the wrong humans, but I was, of course, healthy and free of disease.

I now spend my days in what the humans call a kitchen, separated from these two other felines in the dwelling. The humans seem to call them Blossom and Mojo, but the bumbling comedic duo are known as Fatso and Satan to me. The humans seem to love them a lot, but they scare me and look like they want to steal my food. I won't allow that.

I enjoy my three daily meals, and eagerly attempt to catch water as it falls out this thing humans call a tap. I was the top of my class in 'How To Cat: 101", and my thesis 'Predictions on The Rate of Water Descending From A Tap - A Multilinear Meowdel', is due to be published after my oral defense, which I will most definitely ace. I look forward to receiving First Class Meowners at the end of the semester.

But what I look forward to even more is time spent with the humans that I love - the pats and rubs; the playtime with the elusive bright red dot; the joys of catching this mouse that never seems to die; and the exercise I get during my Zoom session around the house.

I need more space, but I can't seem to get over my fear of Fatso and Satan. Maybe it's time I found a new home.

Thanks for checking out Captain Crookshanks!

We're eager to find her a new home where she can be free to stretch her limbs and get a level of play and stimulation that matches her intelligence.

Unfortunately, we have two other cats, and Captain Crookshanks does not play well with other cats. However, she is very friendly with humans and enjoys being social by meowing, walking in-between our legs, and nudging us for headrubs.

If you're looking for an intelligent, highly-trainable, energetic, beautiful young cat, it can't get any better than Captain Crookshanks.

Reach out to us if you've got questions - we'll be happy to help Captain Crookshanks find a new home.

Thanks,

Eugene & Mandy
